The project started when Miloš Ristin had the idea of trying out a new approach which in this case meant first playing with a material and then generating ideas out of the experimental process. It happened by chance that two other fellow students, Manuel Hitz and Lukas Baumgartner had the same intention. So it was obvious that doing the research as a group project would be very inspiring so that‘s what they did: one and a half months of experimenting with various sorts of concrete, while trying to discover new surprising uses.
They documented the progress in a blog and made a small publication showing over 100 experiments. At the end of this inspiring period, each one of them continued developing his own project, which for Lukas was a grandfather clock, for Manuel was a concrete table and for Miloš Ristin a concrete loudspeaker.
